If you want your cell phone to look badass, you might want to consider buying it a Sukajan. These parachute-silk jackets--reminiscent of flashy, bow-legged yakuza drop-outs with punch perms chewing on cigarette stubs on the side streets of Roppongi--were invented in the post-World War II occupation era, when Japanese craftsmen applied Japanese designs to Western-style apparel using materials imported by American soldiers at Yokosuka Air Force Base (hence the name "Sukajan"--Jan being short for jumper, or jacket). Many soldiers brought these Sukajans back to the US as gifts (which explains why you can sometimes find them in thrift stores).
The Sukajan could quite possibly be one of the first products of the US-Japan alliance, so if you support the loving relationship between the two nations, this might be a good way to show it. Buy yours here.
