An amateur photographer from Tokyo took a picture of two manatees napping underwater back in January while on vacation in Florida, submitted to the prestigious Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition, and won an award. It's on display in London's natural history museum. Yay, Jun Kezuka! Your country is so proud of you that you made it on the front page of Japan Times Online.
One of my favorite places to see good photography in Tokyo is The Metropolitan Museum of Photography in Ebisu Garden Place. Last time I went there, they had this awesome exhibit of pictures taken in the DMZ between North and South Korea.
You should check it out if you have an artsy side to you and aren't just reading my blog for poop jokes and strange news about freaky grandmas.
