Sad news in Japan today. One of the country's favorite dogs, Masao-kun, died of cancer at the age of 7. Aside from being in numerous commercials and TV shows, Masao-kun was known among fans as the "Kimutaku of the dog world"--Kimutaku being the nickname of the Japanese Brad Pitt.
Like many celebrity dads, Masao-kun leaves behind a son and daughter, both of whom are active in the entertainment industry. His son is currently traveling around the country on publicity and do-gooder tours (kinda like what Maddox does) and his daughter is the mascot for a baseball team.
Masao-kun, needless to say, you will be missed.
