A lucky fisherman felt something heavy tugging at the end of his line on Saturday. When he pulled it up, he found that it was not a giant fish, but a giant bag of money. 8 million yen!
Also included in the bag: antiseptic and some paper.
According to the Sea Disaster Relief Law, the money is defined as a "flotsam object" and the guy gets to keep it unless someone comes forth to claim it with proof of ownership in the next six months. Unlikely.
