A loving, 14-year relationship between bear and man came to a tragic end today when a forestry businessman in Aomori Prefecture was mauled to death by his pet teddy. Smokey attacked when the man was cleaning his steel cage.
There's a lesson to be learned from this. Don't be fooled by cuddly cuteness. You see a lot of "cute" in Japan, but most of the time it'll just lure you in and bite you in the ass.
