You might not have heard of Momofuku Ando before, but I guarantee you have tasted the fruits of his genius mind. Back in the day, Ando invented the Cup Noodle and founded Nissin Foods. He was a successful mid-century entrepreneur who provided post-war Japanese citizens with a cheap and delicious alternative to real food. Ando died yesterday of a heart attack, but not before he made Cup Noodle one of the world's all-time favorite late night snacks--and even opened a museum dedicated to it.
Thanks, Mr. Ando, for your gigantic contribution to the world as we know it. And for making way for these vastly popular caveman Cup Noodle commercials from the 90s.

RIP Ando.
Never heard of him, but lived on cup noodles (different brand, same genius idea) a little while back.

I owe this guy a debt I can never repay. I would not have been able to survive college without various noodly goodies.
