Check out NEC's newest laptop, called "HIMITSU KITCHI TYPE NO-1," which is designed and built to look like something you'd have at the mission control center of your very own secret fort. Made in collaboration with toy company Takara Tomy, it even comes with an emergency alarm button and a "glitter panel" that displays urgent messages in LED red. Oh, and a proprietary fort designing tool plus tacky stickers to put on the body so it looks like a SERIOUS highly confidential machine. Other than that, it's just an ordinary (albeit very kitschy) PC.
There are only 300 units for sale, so you better act quick if you want one. Last I checked, they were still selling this in the party section (it didn't qualify for the electronics section) of Tokyu Hands.
And if you really get deep into this shit, there's even a BBS for fort holders in Japanese, which can be found here.

I swear I've seen that beastly machine before..

I am currently in Japan. You can buy the parts separate for any laptop. It's exactly the same parts that I saw in a random stuff shop. They had these panels they were cool but albeit a bit tacky and plastic quality.

A similar panic button can be bought that works as a USB hub. I can't tell from the picture if it's the same one.
