Toyama Prefecture is one of the only places in the world where you can see firefly squid--squid that glow in the dark like fireflies. There's a museum there, plus a shore where thousands wash up every spring, lighting up the ocean in an amazing spectacle.
Local designer Tappei Maruyama collaborated with funky gadget designer Solid Alliance to create this uber-realistic Firefly Squid 512MB USB drive. It even comes in authentic Japanese supermarket-style packaging.
