Here's an idea: A farm in Ehime Prefecture is selling organic Norwegian lettuce in a pot at local supermarkets. The idea is that you're getting it "alive" and it's kinda cute, too.
I want one to keep my Basil Plant from Trader Joe's company, but they only sell it in Ehime for now. If sales are good, it'll proliferate nationwide.
I couldn't even keep the little Bonsai I got for my birthday alive. Now if I had to keep my food alive before I could eat it I would be in deep trouble.
