Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary wrote a new album, and it's called "Song For Megumi." Megumi Yokota's the girl that was abducted by Kim Jong Il's North Korean posse over 30 years ago. Here's a video clip from a recent NHK show featuring the song, it's music video, and commentary by Paul Stookey and Megumi's parents.
Stookey was either very moved by the thought of a young innocent Japanese girl being abducted by the crazy regime across the Sea of Japan, or he wants to revive his career by becoming the American hero of the Far East. Or both.
Thanks for posting - love PP&M!
