I really dig this kind of anime...but don't know much about it. Where would I be able to see this movie-- or does anyone have any suggestions for films like this besides Ghibili? I'm not really into the Ghost in the Shell type stuff...more the happy, cute stuff!

...so japanese, i know...

I went through a bit of a hassle to find a copy of this in a format I could play on my Mac (Matroska files suck!) but it was well worth it. I ended up getting the soundtrack too.

I saw this at the SFAAIF as well. Don't forget the hours upon hours of karaoke she was able to do with her time travel!!

I want to suggest Satoshi Kon for sachi0770, in particular, Millenium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers. But he has some quirky stuff too, like Perfect Blue and Paprika which seem to have a bit of a leap into sci-fi.
