Yeah, I know, it looks more like a snake or a super long piece of turd. But this is actually a 110-meter long sushi roll made by Japanese immigrants to Mexico and their descendants.
The sushi roll's insides are an eclectic mix of flavors from both countries: it's made of rice, seaweed, fish cake, and edible cacti.
110 years ago, in 1897, 35 brave Japanese souls ventured over to Mexico and stayed. Today, there are about 17,000 Japanese-Mexicans (is that the right term?) in Mexico.
This super long roll was created to commemorate the anniversary of their arrival.

My favorite burrito place in the South Bay was Burrito Real on Rengstorf. They had a picture of their Guiness Book award-winning longest burrito in the world. Those crazy Mexicans.
