I spent the entire day yesterday hanging with the boys over at Gizmodo on 4th and Market Streets in San Francisco, waiting for the iPhone. Standing in line for 28 hours can get a little bit boring, so here are some of the things we did to entertain ourselves and the excited fans living vicariously through our coverage of the fiasco:
1. We played putt putt golf with clowns.
2. We started a t-shirt giveaway crowd wave. (See the video)
3. We made our dogs wait in line for us. (Pic)
If you want to see us infiltrating the store, making our first phone calls on the iPhone, and accidentally almost stealing one (I'm a good girl, so I didn't run off with it when it came off its security tag), you can go to the Archives tab on the Giz LiveCam page and set the time to 6-29-07 at 6PM.

I am completely enamored with your blog. So enamored that I even had to get a Typepad account just so that I could continuously comment and make sure that you keep blogging the rest of your life.
I'm up to October of 2006 archives and I'm close to being finished reading your entire blog :D
Keep up the stories, because you've got yourself a loyal customer ^^

I dropped by an apple store last night purely based on curiosity since it was 9:30pm. I walked out with an 8gig iPhone 5 mins later. Yes, I paid for it! This was in emeryville, ca... Across the bay from San Francisco. They had tons.
btw, this was sent from the iphone. Not the easiest to type on but your site looks sharp on this screen.
