Uh oh! Big trouble for a little (well, kind of) company called Toyobo, which manufactures a high-performance fiber material called Zylon that was used in bullet-proof vests purchased by body armor companies throughout the US through federal funding. The US claims that Toyobo sold this material knowing that it would reduce the effectiveness of bullet-proof vests and degraded easily. Hmmmm. If that's true, that certainly is not a good thing. But let's not jump to conclusions. If I hear anything else regarding this lawsuit I will post an update.
