Sanyo's Super Short Distance Projector
Sanyo's newest projector, the LP-XL5, can project high-quality 80-inch images directly onto the wall from just 3 inches away. This makes projectors much, much more useful than they are right now—by shortening the throw, you can now use it in tiny storefronts, to display menus, to give presentations on tabletops, etc.
The product uses a large diameter aspheric lens and high-precision aspheric mirror technology to enable this short distance projection. It also uses a proprietary cooling system for vertical or horizontal projection.
It comes out in December.
