This is the strangest product I've written about in a long time. Let's start with its function—pretty normal. It's a mosquito repellent holder. In Japan, they have these slow-burning mosquito repellent coils called "katori senko," so you would put one inside this unit and light it. What irks me is the choice of design. So the part you put the repellent inside of is a giant bomb that looks like a bowling ball. The bomb sits on a wooden platform, which has two little mice standing on it. The mice look almost real—creepy!
I get the idea—an old bomb in some dusty mice-infested corner that's about to explode any minute and has smoke coming out of its tip. But still! I wouldn't spend my 1400 yen on it.
