Check out this new eight-legged robot, revealed on July 31, from the Chiba Institute of Technology. It has legs so it can walk around like an insect, but when it comes time to roll, it can fold its feet away and glide along like a car. Researchers think this could be the next generation of robots for search and rescue, wheelchairs, and maybe someday even automobiles.
