According to my friend Mia, kids these days are all listening to and singing along with this song, which is featured on the NHK morning kids' show. It's all about a bug that'll bite your butt. The original YouTube page has the lyrics translated in English, in case you're interested.
When I was a kid, the most popular song on NHK was called "Oppai Ga Ippai" (Lots of Boobies). It was a dreamy song of babies clinging onto floating breasts.
