Bandai's New Ghost in the Shell Bot

40683

Coming in February: A Tachikoma robot (you know, from the popular anime Ghost in the Shell) that actually does things like initiate games, dodge bullets, record voice messages, and play music. Uh huh, that's right, it'll be like your very own robot friend straight out of the anime, for those of you who can't handle real pets but don't think robotic dogs are all that interesting. The Tachikoma takes its commands directly from your laptop, which it connects to via USB. "Tachikoma agent" software included. It'll retail for 13,440 yen.

Press release (Japanese, via Impress Watch)
