Check out my friend Alyssa's Japanese fried chicken cooking video. This is actually a recipe that I borrowed from my friend Satoko in college, and that Alyssa subsequently borrowed from me.
Maybe I'm biased because she's one of my best friends in the world, but I love listening to Alyssa's random musings. I always joke with her that she has no inner monologue.
I like to use thighs, not breasts, but I think this is a total dark meat/light meat preference thing. Also, I hate shrimp, so no changing it up with little shrimp things for me.
Now I can share this with my friends.

Hey, thanks for the video. I can't wait to try it!
Is your friend angry with you, now that everyone has seen her messy makeup counter? :P

I first saw this soon after she originally posted it, and even commented on it back then. I made this style (sans Shrimp) a week ago sunday for my friends for the Bills football game as my dish to pass. RAVE reviews. Everyone loved it, and wants me to make it again. :) Just thought you'd like to know.

I just signed up so I could tell you Alyssa's hillarious. On camera she appears very genuine. Like myself most people talk about random musings. Stay real, ok that sounded so corny.

I've always wanted to learn how to make karaage-- this is great! Karaage is hands down one of my favorite japanese matsuri foods! :)
btw, I like your friend's music selections. First there was some Natalie Merchant, but the next song is one I love-- but can't remember the name or artist! It's a group from Hawaii (I'm from there, too, but moved away years ago) and the chorus goes, "Let me say baby, baby can I hold you tonight. Baby if I tell you the right words, at the right time, will you be mine."
If anyone can remember the name of this song, I would be STOKED!
yoroshiku in advance!

I used this recipe's marinade for some chicken cutlets. I butterflied the chicken breasts and pounded them till they were evenly flat. I think that really helped them absorb the marinade flavor. Then after they were coated with starch I dipped in eggs and then in panko bread crumbs. I think they were honey flavor. . . anyway, I pan fired them in half oil/butter (yum) and they turned out pretty fabulous. Dipped in tonkatsu sauce. . . my mouth is salivating due their memory. ;__;
Anyway, they were tasty, thanks for the idea!

hey i have actualy a way to know whether the oil is hot enough ...
actualy is to take a pair of chopstick n dip it into the oil . n if bubbles is forming around the chopstick then it means the oil is hot enough .. ofcourse a lot of bubbles not a few bubbles :D :D :D
