Caught on Tape: Angry Salaryman Lashes Out at Tulips
When hundreds of tulips in flower beds along the street were found headless in Gunma prefecture earlier this month, police looked back at surveillance tapes from the crime scenes. Today, they released these images of a middle-aged salaryman hacking at the flowers with his umbrella in front of a government building.
We don't know who he is yet, but I can make two immediate predictions about his motive: he was angry, or he hates tulips. Or both. At least he wasn't beheading dogs or little children.

They should make a video game with an umbrella handle, and you got to wack the tulips. That way, you can release your anger and not harm the beautiful scenery. EVERYONE is now happy. ^.^

I saw this on the news last week, or so. They did the typical Q&A of man and woman on the street and some business owners, but no one knew. I figured it to be some kids getting out of hand.
Looks like it was just another ojisan drunken fit.

Salarymen are some pent up mofos.
I think here in the U.S. if that happened, your first thought would have been "Darn Kids"!
I think Japanese businessmen need to get laid more.

Those poor poor tulips...

Good for him! If they want to use taxpayers' money to plant tulips, plant them in front of the taxpayers' houses, not in front of a government building. You see this all over Japan, where city halls are surrounded by beautiful parks, but housing estates are left to rot.
