Sad news for zoo pandas. A baby was born last Tuesday to a 12-year old panda named Tan Tan at the Kobe Zoo; it was the first one conceived through artificial insemination in 20 years. The little thing was dead by Friday afternoon. Zoo officials suspect it may have been because of rough handling or not enough milk from the mom. I don't know if that has anything to do with the artificial insemination factor. The dad was another Kobe Zoo panda, Ko Ko.
suck...I was going to see that thing in November before they had to turn it over to China. What trips me out is how small it is, compared to the mother. Same with kangaroos.
