Do you ever feel so angry that you just want to smash a plate against the wall? I think a lot of people do—but they don't do it because cleaning up broken plates is a big pain in the ass. This little truck, called A Place for Venting Anger, is a special space just for smashing and throwing plates. The sign advertises that it's 200 yen per session for the ultimate stress reliever. I think you can close the door, too, so that you can scream and cry and be alone with your demons. Alyssa took this photo on her recent trip to Tokyo.

Yes! I have on a couple of occasions gotten so mad that I have grabbed up a plate and smashed it against a wall--and yeah, picking up all the shards afterwards was a royal pain in the ass. So these enterpreneurs have definitely found a useful niche market as far as I can tell. :-)

I saw this today in Akihabara, but I don't know where you would break the various dishes as their stock of stuff is inside the back of the truck as well as being dark and not much room.
I didn't see some sort of tent either. That's a takoyaki truck to the left and further is some beef kabob pita sandwich thing. I was tempted to try one. It looked "very" good and they sold a beer too.
Anyways, people were looking, but nobody was giving it a go. Also, is it ¥200 a session, or per dish? I might give it a go next time I'm around there, just for kicks.
Here's the GPS coordinates of where it's at: ( 35.698722,139.771539 ) - Just paste that into maps.google.com
*NOTE: That building in the middle of the view isn't there anymore. It's now an empty lot where that truck is parking.
